Why I became a nurse; honestly that is all I’ve ever wanted to be, I can remember wanting to be a nurse since I was four years old. I’ve never consider any other option, i didn’t care how much money a nurse made.

It’s who I am, compassion, empathy, caring, and super kind hearted to those in my care or even if you are in my general area you will be nurtured in some way, shape or form.

I didn’t go and research anything about it. All I knew was I was called to be a nurse.  In my daydreams, I would imagined myself comforting someone, holding their hand and listening, offering comfort and hope. That’s what I thought a nurse was and did. Boy, was I wrong! And even so, I love it!! It’s who I am, compassion, empathy, caring, and super kind hearted to those in my care or even if you are in my general area you will be nurtured in some way, shape or form. I want people to feel better and to have hope. I still hold their hand, I don’t care if I don’t have the time. I make time. I give them dignity, honor, love and the care they deserve, because; we are all vulnerable humans with weakness and frailness. Why should I add to the sorrows of another hurting soul? I just can’t do it. This is why I became a nurse
